What happens to your face data on HyperKnown?
By Tim NaglePublished October 9, 2026
HyperKnown stores the photos and details you add to your profile so companies can consider you for briefs. Your identity documents are handled by Stripe and are never shown to companies. No company can use your face in its advertising until you accept and sign a brief. This guide explains what HyperKnown stores, what companies see, what they never see, how AI training works under the agreement and how to delete your profile.
What does HyperKnown store?
HyperKnown stores your profile: your photos, your details, your content limits, your signed agreement and your permission video. From your identity check it keeps the result and a reference from Stripe, not your ID documents. If you add bank details, it keeps only the last four digits and a reference from the payout provider.
It also keeps the records needed to run the service and prove consent: the briefs you accept, your signatures and when you gave them, and payment records. You add bank details only when you accept your first project. You see your exact fee on each brief before you accept. Fees vary by brief, and bookings are not guaranteed. If you choose to connect a social media account, the content HyperKnown can access through it becomes part of your materials too. Connecting an account is optional.
Your photos go through an automated safety review. The photo you choose as your reference is used to create your studio portrait, which you review and approve before it is published. The service providers that handle this are listed in the Privacy Notice.
What do companies see?
Only companies HyperKnown has approved can see the roster. When casting, they see your approved studio portrait and your profile details. Your own photos are shown only to signed-in, approved companies, as proof that you are a real person.
Your profile is not public. Anonymous visitors, search engines and other talent cannot browse it. Companies apply to HyperKnown and are reviewed before they can see anyone.
The profile details an approved company can see include your handle, your bio, your style categories, any social media handles you add, your verified badge and how quickly you usually respond. Your age range and gender are only shown if you choose to show them. When you accept a brief, that company receives the licensed assets and the signed consent record for that project.
What do companies never see?
Companies never see your identity documents, your verification selfie, your bank details or your permission video. Your age range and gender stay hidden unless you choose to show them.
- Your ID documents. Raw identity documents are never licensed to companies. Companies only see that you are verified.
- Your verification selfie. It is part of the identity check, not your profile.
- Your bank details. They go to the payout provider. HyperKnown keeps only the last four digits.
- Your permission video. It is kept privately as evidence of your consent.
- Your signing details. The IP address and device you used when you signed the agreement stay private.
Companies also cannot resell your raw photos or videos. The agreement does not allow raw materials to be resold as standalone files.
Who can see my ID?
If you verify with Stripe, Stripe handles your ID and HyperKnown does not store the document. HyperKnown keeps the result and a reference to the check. Companies never see your ID either way.
Stripe Identity asks for photos of your government-issued ID and a selfie, taken live with your camera, and matches the selfie to the photo on the ID. The check also reads your date of birth, so HyperKnown can confirm you are 18 or over.
Some people cannot verify with Stripe, for example because Stripe cannot read their ID. They can ask for a manual review instead. You upload photos of your ID and a selfie holding it. They are encrypted as soon as they reach HyperKnown, two members of a small HyperKnown review team view them privately, and they are deleted 30 days after the decision.
Do you train AI on my face?
Only with your consent. When you sign the licensing agreement, you agree that HyperKnown can build and train an AI version of your likeness and use your materials to improve its own models. Companies can only use your likeness in a project you accept, or in a licence programme you choose to join.
Clause 3 of the licensing agreement sets this out. HyperKnown can create, train, refine and keep an AI Character of you, including face, body, movement and voice models, built from the materials you submit. It can also use those materials to train, evaluate and improve its own models, systems and tools. These models are kept separate from your identity verification records.
Everything made with your AI Character is still bound by the restrictions in clause 7, and your raw materials cannot be resold. If you leave, deleting your account does not undo training that has already happened. Your materials and AI Character are then deleted, disabled or de-identified on the retention schedule, apart from what active licences and legal records still need.
Can I delete my profile?
Yes. You can leave the roster and request deletion of your data. Licences you already signed keep their agreed terms until they end.
In your account Settings, send a privacy request and choose to delete your data, or email privacy@hyperknown.ai. HyperKnown verifies that the request is from you and starts an audited deletion across its systems and providers. You can also ask to stop appearing to companies and decline future projects without deleting everything.
Some things stay. Licences you already signed keep running for their agreed scope and term, and the fees for them are still paid to you. Signed agreements and the transaction and accounting records linked to them are kept for seven years, or longer if the law requires. Data removed from live systems can stay in access-restricted backups until those backups are replaced. Anything kept is only used for the reason it was kept.

Frequently asked questions
Who can see my ID?
If you verify with Stripe, Stripe handles your ID document and HyperKnown keeps only the result. If you use manual review, two HyperKnown reviewers see your documents privately, and they are deleted 30 days after the decision. Companies never see your ID.
Can someone upload my photo without me?
Not to a live profile. Every profile must pass identity verification, where Stripe matches a selfie taken live on camera to the person's ID, and HyperKnown reviews every profile before companies can see it.
Is my profile public?
No. Only companies HyperKnown has approved can see the roster. Anonymous visitors, search engines and other talent cannot browse it.
How do I delete my profile?
Send a privacy request in Settings and choose to delete your data, or email privacy@hyperknown.ai. Licences you already signed keep their agreed terms until they end, and some records, such as signed agreements, are kept as the law requires.
